As a support worker or carer, you may be responsible for providing care to individuals with varied degrees of impairment and difficulties. In this profession, it is crucial to be aware since the health of individuals frequently depends on the provision of appropriate and effective care.
Essential Personal Qualities
A good carer or support worker needs to show a number of important traits and skills, such as:
- passionate about assisting those who are vulnerable.
- versatile and capable of working under pressure.
- excellent comprehension of care concepts, especially a person-centred approach.
- respect for the inherent value and dignity of every person
- maintain honesty and competence at all times.
- exceptional communication abilities, such as attentive listening,
- capacity to comply with established residential home and legal processes.
Experience and credentials required:
- Level 2 or higher NVQ is preferable, but not required.
- Candidates must have care-giving experience and references from within the last five years.
- Training in health and safety, food hygiene, medication, infection control, and protection will give you an advantage.
- Even though this training is good, it could be given to the people who are already working there.
INTERESTED IN RGN/RMN VACANCIES?
Kimarchie Health & Social Care is now recruiting RGNs and RMNs with at least six months of experience to work in residential and nursing homes across the United Kingdom. You will work with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, learning impairments, end-of-life care, and other disorders.

- Knowledge of nursing fundamentals

- Organisational abilities
Experience and credentials required:
- degree or diploma in nursing.
- it is necessary to have five GCSEs and two A levels (or equivalent).
- enrolment with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council).
Other prerequisites
- Work Permit Documentation in the United Kingdom
- DBS check that is legitimate
- English is an excellent spoken and written language.
